NEWS - SEASON 2025

Season opening, May

More than thirty people joined in the garden's opening celebration. Speeches highlighted the valuable contribution of partners and donors to the garden's development. The long-term work of volunteers was also recognized. Special thanks to Réjean Boudreau, who welcomed guests with local specialties.

Eco-Sol Poster, May

The seasonal opening was an opportunity to unveil a large-format poster. It features the garden's motto, as well as a list of partners and anonymous donors who have generously funded the garden. Because it is affixed to the fence surrounding the garden, it is visible from Main Street.

Partership with NBCC, May

A partnership agreement was recently signed with the NBCC in Dieppe. Students enrolled in carpentry and electrical programs will help build a cold room. Thanks to this collaboration, this long-awaited facility will become a reality! A sincere thank you to the college authorities!

Grass mowing, June

Special thanks to Jacques Giguère for bringing his tractor and mowing the grass around the garden. A true ace behind the wheel, he restored the garden's surroundings to their former glory. What a wonderful gift!

Garden expansion, June

Since the summer of 2024, painstaking work has been carried out to prepare the ground for a new area that will soon be added to the garden. Thank you to the volunteers who have devoted their time and energy to this valuable project!

Barrier to entry, July

A gate was installed at the entrance to the garden. Euclide Chiasson, Jean-Eudes Chiasson, and Roger Landry designed and transported the new equipment. Jacques Giguère and Victor Leblanc installed it.

Refrigeration unit, July

The Fredericton Food Co-op and the Dieppe IGA Co-op are joining the cold storage room construction project by donating a refrigeration unit and insulation panels. Special thanks to Gérald Robichaud for facilitating this acquisition, and to Euclide Chiasson, Roger Landry, and Jean-Louis Bourgeois for transporting it to the garden.

Brush cutter, July

A steadfast partner of the garden, the Savoie Group provided the funds needed to purchase a brush cutter. This essential tool will make it easier to maintain the densely wooded areas outside the garden grounds.

Bundles of boards, July

The cold storage project has taken another step forward. Thanks to two bundles of wooden planks donated by Groupe Savoie, part of the materials needed to construct the building have been provided. Thank you to Roger Dupuis of Home Hardware for arranging the transportation of the cargo.
